First Sight

I flew into Phoenix, AZ on Friday, October 29th and was picked up by my brother Mike (pictured).  We proceeded directly over to the storage unit where the car had been stored since 1994.  Once there we looked everything over, decided that there was nothing to do at that point, and closed the door.

On Saturday morning around 8:00 Mike and I drove down to the storage unit and began to assess the situation of what to do and where to start.

We began by sorting out all of the chrome and stainless placing them inside Mike's van to protect them and also to get them out of the way. We also began to look through the bags of parts, bolts, and miscellaneous pieces which were all tagged by the previous owner which helped out a lot.

At about 8:30 Chuck Collins arrived with his truck which had an engine hoist and floor jack riding in the back.  Mike and Chuck began freeing up the left rear brake which was froze while I reinstalled a cross member back into the frame for the transmission.

When the brakes were free we rolled the car out of the storage unit and decided to install the engine and transmission.  Mike and I bolted the transmission to the engine while Chuck got his engine hoist off his truck.
